Will Hasey
Where are you from?
Ypsilanti, Michigan
What school do you attend?
The Early College Alliance at Eastern Michigan University
What's your major?
TBD; most likely Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
What led you to choose your major?
Originally, I chose product design because I like to design things and I'm surprisingly good at it. But then I learned that it’s rare and doesn't pay well, so I looked at some other options. I realized that product design is like mechanical engineering — except that instead of designing desks or lamps, you design and create cars, or airplanes, or electrical systems and get paid twice as much.
What are you working on at ACS?
I'm working on the Cloud Team and writing PowerShell scripts.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work/school?
I love soccer (I have been playing for 15 years). I love watching professional games; my favorite team is Tottenham Hotspur. I am also coaching a recreational league team for 10-12 year-olds. Aside from sports, I enjoy programming using the Unity Engine, baking with my grandpa, and playing online video games.
What’s a fun or odd fact about you that your colleagues may not know?
I used to attend the AdvantageCS Children’s Center when I was younger.
