Better Together: AdvantageCS Partners with Mather to Scale Intelligent Pricing
AdvantageCS is pleased to announce an expanded partnership with Mather, which brings Mather’s subscription pricing intelligence directly into Advantage workflows, giving publishers a streamlined way to apply individualized renewal pricing strategies across their subscriber base. Through this integration, AdvantageCS clients can use Mather’s pricing models to generate recommended renewal prices while continuing to work within the systems and processes they already have in place.
A High-Level View of the Integration
The Mather integration expands Advantage’s subscription pricing capabilities by connecting Mather’s pricing models with subscriber and billing history already maintained within Advantage. Rather than requiring publishers to extract data and manage pricing recommendations through a separate process, the integration allows information to move between the two systems seamlessly.
Mather evaluates subscriber and billing history to determine a recommended renewal price for each subscriber. Those recommendations are then returned to Advantage, where clients can incorporate them directly into the renewal workflows they already use.
This approach allows publishers to apply more advanced pricing strategies without requiring operational teams to manually export files, transfer recommendations between systems, or learn a separate platform. Subscription management, billing, customer service, and related activity continue to remain within Advantage, helping organizations preserve existing business processes while adding greater intelligence to renewal pricing decisions.
Strengthening Subscription Revenue
Effective renewal pricing requires publishers to consider both the potential revenue associated with a price increase and the impact that increase may have on subscriber retention. Mather’s pricing models are designed to evaluate this trade-off at the individual subscriber or segment level, helping organizations identify renewal prices that support revenue growth while accounting for long-term subscriber value.
By pairing AdvantageCS’s comprehensive subscription capabilities with Mather’s pricing intelligence, publishers can move beyond broad, one-size-fits-all renewal strategies and make more targeted pricing decisions across their subscriber base.
Matt Varblow, CTO of AdvantageCS, spoke about the synergy between AdvantageCS and Mather. “At AdvantageCS, we help publishers manage the entire subscriber journey, from acquisition and fulfillment to renewals, customer service, and revenue management. Our platform gives clients the flexibility to support innovative subscription products, bundles, and pricing strategies, while Mather brings proven pricing intelligence and a strong track record of increasing revenue and customer lifetime value. Together, we're helping publishers make pricing a more strategic growth lever, turning sophisticated renewal and subscription pricing strategies into action through the systems and workflows they already rely on every day.”
Matt Lindsay, CEO of Mather, added, “Intelligent pricing presents a significant opportunity for publishers to grow ARPU and drive long-term revenue growth. Bringing Mather’s pricing intelligence together with AdvantageCS’s subscription management capabilities, publishers can make more informed pricing decisions that reflect the value of each subscriber, reduce subscriber churn, and support healthier, more sustainable revenue growth.”
