Cider Plus eCommerce in 2024: What's New?
We can’t believe it’s already been over a year since we released our Cider Plus eCommerce solution! Ever since Cider Plus was released in April 2023, we’ve continuously highlighted some of Cider’s best and most improved features, such as its advanced shopping cart, targeted promotion landing pages, and strong customer self service capabilities.

But what other improvements have we brought to Cider Plus since its release? Let’s talk about it! Here are some notable improvements we’ve made to Cider Plus during the 2024 calendar year.
The Promotion Choice Tile
In version 5.3, we introduced the Promotion Choice Tile feature to Cider Plus. This new widget allows admins greater control over the placement and overall design of each promotion landing choice on a promotion landing page.
In other words, you can present multiple purchasing options to your customers with large, eye-catching tiles that leave ample space for product descriptions and offers. Use Promotion Choice Tiles to make your Cider Plus site more engaging and informative! (For an example use case, see below.)
More Checkout Flow Customizations
One of the hallmark features of Cider Plus is its flexible, highly customizable checkout flow. Throughout 2024, we’ve continued to introduce new ways for organizations to tailor Cider Plus’s checkout flow to suit their needs.
Most notable is the inclusion of several new checkout flows for promotion landing pages. Admins can choose from Quick Checkout, Full Checkout, and Full Checkout with Autocomplete. Each of these checkout flows provides different fields and layouts, so you can choose the checkout flow that works best for each of your promotion landing pages on an individual basis.
Major Documentation Update
And last but not least, in 2024, Cider Plus has received a MAJOR documentation update! Over the past year, creating concise and accessible documentation for Cider Plus has been a high priority for our development and documentation teams. Cider Plus’s new documentation provides everything a user might need to know about installation, configuration, features provided, and more! Additionally, we've launched a new, comprehensive development guide for Cider Plus which walks users through various ways they can customize their Cider Plus site to fit their organization's needs.
