BIMS 2025 Recap: B2B Connections in the Big Easy

AdvantageCS was proud to be a sponsor of the 2025 Business Information & Media Summit (BIMS), held March 26-28 at the elegant Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans, Louisiana. With over 200 attendees, this year’s theme - a deep dive into the media multiverse - set the tone for discussions on the future of B2B business models and the growing impact of AI across the industry. Attendees were promised a comprehensive look at both the current state and future direction of the B2B media market, along with valuable industry insights and numerous opportunities to network throughout the three-day summit.

John Sheehy and Eva Johnson were on hand, hosting the AdvantageCS booth and ready to connect with current clients, prospective clients and partners, as well as fellow industry professionals. They were there to introduce attendees to the Advantage platform and highlight its flexibility and extensive feature set—capable of accommodating a wide variety of subscription and membership models.

The event kicked off Wednesday evening with a well-attended welcome reception for all attendees and sponsors, setting a friendly and energetic tone for the days ahead.

Thursday featured a full day of sessions focused on revenue generation and multi-channel selling, spanning print, digital, marketing services, and events. Unsurprisingly, a major theme was the integration and strategic use of artificial intelligence (AI) across the media landscape. Discussions highlighted AI’s expanding role in data processing, content creation, marketing, and audience insights—as well as its growing impact on back-office automation, business analytics, customer service, and sales support. The day also included a celebration of industry excellence, with awards presented to both established leaders and rising stars. Breakout sessions throughout the day offered in-depth exploration of topics such as executive leadership, event growth strategies, and emerging media technologies.

The day concluded with the “Big Easy Bash” on Thursday evening—a relaxed, upbeat gathering in the Ritz’s courtyard that gave attendees more time to network and share ideas.

Overall, BIMS 2025 delivered a wide variety of session topics and gave us the opportunity to connect with current clients, engage with prospective ones, collaborate with partners, exchange ideas with other solution providers, and yes—even chat with the competition. Events like BIMS are always highlights of our year, offering meaningful conversations and opening the door to new relationships and opportunities.
