Aller Media hosted the annual meeting of the European Advantage Users Group in mid-April at their office in Copenhagen.  Thirty-five users from eight companies and seven countries gathered for two days to get updates on the Advantage product roadmap, to attend feature workshops, and, of course, to meet and network with other clients.

After a warm welcome from Aller’s IT Director for Business Solutions, Svend Erik Hansen, AdvantageCS VP of Sales and Marketing Dan Heffernan kicked off the meeting with a presentation on Advantage News and Strategic Direction. Dan reviewed our current projects and how they address the challenges our clients face in a rapidly changing industry. He also pointed out the many channels through which our clients can keep up with AdvantageCS news: our blog, newsletter, SharePoint site, and LinkedIn user group.

Following a tour of the stunning Aller Media building in the Havneholmen harbor district, a presentation on the new Contact Center feature concluded the program for the day. An informal dinner at Rene’s Restaurant allowed participants to socialize afterwards in a relaxed atmosphere.

The second day consisted of a series of informative presentations and workshops. It started with a presentation by Aller Media’s Svend Erik Hansen.  He reviewed the history of Aller Media and gave an overview of the company that highlighted current challenges and opportunities.  He also noted how happy he is to use Advantage as a single-subscription fulfillment system for Aller Media’s operations in Denmark, Sweden and, most recently, Finland, which went live the week before the conference. 

Following Svend Erik’s talk, users participated in workshops on marketing and automated testing, which introduced them to the rich functionality that Advantage provides in these areas. The remainder of the day was jam-packed with updates from AdvantageCS Product Manager John Sheehy. John discussed both recently completed projects and software features that are currently in development. Clients were excited to hear about the expanding web capabilities in Advantage including the improvements to our e-Commerce platform Cider, the development of a Single Sign-On solution that seamlessly connects Advantage, Cider and third-party systems, and a new web-based user interface for Telesales. 

The European Advantage Users Group meeting provided a great opportunity for our European clients to connect with each other and to learn about new Advantage features.

The meeting was also an opportunity for us at AdvantageCS to connect more closely with our users and to learn about their goals for 2016 and beyond. We thank the attendees for participating and our host Aller Media for their hospitality. And we look forward to seeing everyone again at the next user group meeting in 2017!
